IMD's highest priority is to provide top-tier, innovative graduate business education to the best and brightest candidates, regardless of financial circumstances.

This year, we are proud to be celebrating 50 years of IMD’s MBA programme.

The IMD MBA program has adapted to anticipate future trends and respond to the changing demands placed on leaders, while staying true to its common ethos to develop leaders with real-world understanding.

“The MBA’s emphasis upon personal development leads to the formation of true leaders. IMD alumni have changed the world – dramatically, and for the better,” said Michel Demaré, Chairman of IMD’s Foundation and Supervisory boards.

For Getrude Okoth Rea (MBA 2022), the chance to come to IMD on a Merit scholarship was a dream come true.

After gaining an undergraduate degree in Financial Engineering in her home country of Kenya, Getrude launched into six years of management consulting working with businesses across sub-Saharan Africa, before heading up a software technology firm, driving growth through the COVID pandemic to a successful Series A. Getrude said,

“After a number of years supporting business growth and investing in my personal growth as a leader, I felt it was time for me to broaden my horizons by joining a top European business school and IMD was my number one choice.

“My plan is to use my background, experience and now my new skills and networks from the MBA to drive and impact businesses at scale – and I hope to create jobs on the continent of Africa, and inspire others to pursue their dreams.”

Today’s global businesses require skilled and responsible leaders, like Getrude, who understand the world. IMD's flagship MBA program prepares talented individuals to lead in complex and uncertain environments, in a sustainable and inclusive way.

By supporting the MBA Impact Leaders of Tomorrow scholarships, you will enable IMD to recruit the world's brightest MBA candidates from developing countries and emerging economies.

A donation from you this Giving Day will enable each one of them to reach their full potential as the reflective, responsible business leaders of tomorrow.
